I’m excited to share my interview on the Wantrepreneur to Entrepreneur podcast (Website). I talk about how to successfully transform organizations, enhance digital maturity and improve business outcomes especially for small to medium sized businesses (SMBs).
Some quick tidbits:
- Know what problems you are attempting to solve *before* purchasing any technology. Technology is a means to an end i.e. enabling business outcomes.
- It’s probably not a surprise but I’m a big proponent of agile planning tactics (high level roadmap with progressive elaboration of different work streams as they become more urgent or timely)
- It’s important to connect strategy with tactics. Far too often, SMB IT teams are mired in the tactical and are unable to connect their tasks to organizational strategy
- Having an inventory of your systems is critical *before* going out to purchase the latest shiny object (*cough* AI).
