Client was preparing for a sale and requested assistance with addressing due diligence questions and outsourcing their IT function to a Managed Services Provider (MSP).
What I did
- Developed catalog of IT assets (contracts, systems, devices, etc) and documented IT operating environment (administrative accounts, passwords, etc)
- Reviewed status of in-flight and planned projects and provided recommendations to management team on prioritization and path to completion
- Reviewed existing IT contracts and made recommendations on which ones to keep or terminate
- Led confidential Request for Proposal (RFP) process to identify potential Managed IT vendors to replace IT team
- Supported client through transition from in-house IT to Managed IT service
Outcome
The client fully transitioned to a Managed IT provider in 30 days and subsequently closed on the sale of the company.
